At the mill area in Åkers Styckebruk: Mill museum and an English garden (with private manor) where it is allowed to walk in the park. Bathing place at Lake Visnaren.

The area with Åkers styckebruk, Skottvångs mine, Kalkbro and surroundings is called Åkers Bergslag and has beautiful nature with lakes and forests and here there was early iron handling. Signs describing the history of the area can be found in a number of places in the area, e.g. in Åkers styckebruk and at Skottvång's mine - "History of iron". In the lakes in the area fishing, fishing license required, can be purchased in the vending machine in Åkers styckebruk.
