Description

Tour riding

We offer riding vacations, riding weekends and tour riding for experienced riders on large spirited horses as well as guided riding tours for you with your own horse in Söderåsen National Park.

We ride in Söderåsen National Park's beautiful beech forests with dramatic valleys. Enjoy miles of views up on the heights of Skåne's Grand Canyon.

The bridleways are miles long, the beech forests beautiful and the terrain fantastic. Exploring Söderåsen National Park on horseback is a fairytale.

We only take up to 4 riders at a time as we want to offer personal and unique experiences in small groups.

If you want to come and ride with your own horses, we also have guided tours.

Regulations

Prerequisites

We only accept riders who can drive a horse in all gaits. You should be able to ride easily and sit steady in both trot and canter. The horses are friendly but if you are a beginner, our tours are not suitable. If you have booked a tour and we believe that you are unable to complete it safely, we will immediately cancel the tour and we charge 100% as we do not have the opportunity to book someone else at such short notice.

Clarification regarding riding skills as we have received many inquiries / bookings from riders with lower / no riding skills: We have knowledge limits for riding with us as it is about the safety of our visitors and horses. The horses are not difficult to ride or rowdy in any way, but they have their own wills and their own motor, which you need to be able to handle.

If you have only ridden on tour a few times before, our horses are not suitable as they require a completely different level of knowledge. The same thing if you have ridden your first semester at riding school, then they are not completely suitable horses either. However, if you have ridden a lot and had a longer break, it is no problem to ride them. A good yardstick is whether you can saddle and train yourself and can ride easily in the trot and canter without problems.

If you are unsure, call or email and ask before booking.

Age limit

We have an age limit of 15 years. We only have big horses and quite spirited horses and they are not suitable for children.

Maximum weight

We have different maximum weights on our horses. As the saddles we have are 17-17.5 inches, it also limits the size of riders. The weight limits are set for the well-being of the horses.

Accommodation, Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is at 5 p.m. and check-out is at 3 p.m. Earlier check-in and later check-out may be possible by arrangement provided that no one else has booked the accommodation before or after you.

Bed linen, sheets, towels, bath towels, toilet paper, washing-up liquid and hand soap are provided in the apartment. Eggs from the farm's free-range chickens are included if you want it otherwise it is self-catering. We want you to leave tables and benches wiped, throw your garbage in the bins by the road and wash up after yourself. We vacuum and scrub when you check out.

Before and after riding

We meet in the stable at your booked time, do not come far in advance but have booked time as arrival time. If you come far in advance, it is not certain that we are at home. Upon arrival, we go through which horse to ride, and which horse should have what equipment. Expect it to take about 30-40 minutes before we get away with the horses. Everyone brushes and prepares the horse to be ridden. After the ride, it takes about 30 minutes to sponge any sweat and brush the horses after the ride.

How to pay

Payment is made via Swish (1235996137) or Bank-giro (5603-3905) in connection with booking.

If you have a company, we can of course invoice.

Cancellation policy for horseback riding and accommodation

As we are a small business that only has one tour per day, cancellations at short notice hit our business quite hard.

Please let us know immediately if you are unable to attend so we can book another party.

If you cancel at least 48 hours before the booked time, you will receive a full refund. For late cancellations we charge 50%. Cancellations due to rain are handled as a late cancellation.

Cancellation due to bad weather

Cancellations due to rain are handled as a late cancellation. Please bring rainwear if it looks like it will rain.

If there is a risk of strong winds, heavy rain, storms and thunderstorms, we may decide to postpone / cancel the tour for safety reasons. If we cancel, 100% of the fee will be refunded, you can get a gift card, or we can reschedule to another day. In the first place, we try to postpone the departure until the storm has passed. It is up to us to decide if the weather is so bad that the tour cannot be carried out safely.

Insurance coverage

Our horses are insured by Agria and everyone who rides or stays around the horses is covered by their accident insurance. We also recommend that you have your own accident insurance.

We have kind, stable and safe horses, but all riding is at your own risk. They are flight animals and accidents can happen.

Clothing and equipment

Bring your own riding gear. Bring riding clothes adapted to the weather (if there is a risk of rain, you should have rainwear with you). Helmets are mandatory for everyone who rides with us. We have some helmets to borrow if someone forgot but recommend that you bring your own. Everyone under 18 who rides with us must wear a safety vest. You need to bring your own vest as we do not have any for lending. Riding shoes with a small heel and long pants are required.

Bring your own pet

It is not allowed to bring your own pets. We have cats and chickens that run loose on the farm that do not want to be hunted. We also have three dogs on the farm. As it has been peed on walls, furniture and curtains by visiting dogs on several occasions, we have decided to no longer allow visiting dogs in the apartment.
