Description

Welcome to the Tallskogsleden trail, which stretches about five kilometers between Råå in the south and Planteringen in the north. Until the end of the 18th century, the area had extensive flying sand fields and heather fields, which were then called "Råå Ljung" or "Råå Sand". These lands were settled and planted with pine in the early 1800s to prevent the sand from escaping.

Along the trail, in addition to the remains of the old pine plantations, there are several playgrounds, two marked running trails, an arboretum, several barbecue areas, a football pitch, a tennis court and a sledging hill. The natural values in the area are great, especially in the sandy and heathery areas, so enjoy the scent of the pine forest and a moment of peaceful walking.

Accessibility The Pine Forest Trail runs through parks and nature areas, past residential areas and industrial districts. The surface varies between gravel, asphalt and various pavements. There are no stairs but some high curbs. At the edge of the forest south of Koppargatan there is a small height difference that can be difficult to drive up with a wheelchair. There is no anti-slip treatment along the trail.
