Läderbackarna

Läderbackarna is located next to Bäljane å, which is a tributary of Rönne å. Läderbackarna takes its name from the time when there was a tannery here. The slopes have undergone extensive restoration work and the beautiful walking area was opened in 2018.

From the slopes you have a nice view of Bjersgård's forests and pastures. Sit down on a bench and enjoy the view! One or more red kites often circle over the fields and in summer various swallows hunt here. All year round you can hear the calls or songs of goldfinches, greenfinches and yellowhammer. If you sit at the picnic area by the river, there's a good chance you'll see kingfishers and white-tailed deer. In the summer, the hemp bells and torch flowers bloom here.

From the paths in the area you can join the Pilgrims Trail or continue to Elfdalen.
