Description
Dalby Söderskog National Park was established in 1918 to preserve what was then described as a southern Swedish deciduous forest.
The national park is at its most beautiful in spring. A concert of birdsong and carpets of wood anemones, yellow anemones and hollow nunwort greet the walker when spring arrives in April. The time when the leaves of the trees are not yet shaded has the richest flowering. Wonderful is short, when the trees are green, the flowering is over and forest bells take over on the ground.
Sweden's smallest national park is worth a visit even in the dense greenery of summer. In the dim light under the treetops, you will find peace and quiet in the middle of the Scanian plains. In winter, the barren tree landscape appears as a graphic image in white, gray and black.
