Naturreservatet Bjäret ingår i Stiftelsen Skånska Landskapsströvområde Frostavallen. Stora delar av naturreservatet ligger på en basaltkupp, Ulfsbjär. Det är resterna av en vulkan som var aktiv för 80-170 miljoner år sedan.
