Sturefors naturreservat

The nature reserve is beautifully situated by Sturefors Castle and the shores of Ärlången. The area is easy to walk in and has inviting oak woodlands, open pastures and closed deciduous forests. The ancient landscape around the castle is one of the county's most important oak areas and a habitat for many rare species, including the leatherback beetle and the oak ox.

The reserve's entrance is located in the far north of the area. There is a small parking lot and an information board. There is no marked hiking trail, but you are welcome to wander the area on your own.

In summer, the land is grazed by cattle. During this period, we recommend that you do not bring your dog into the pastures as it can make the grazing animals stressed and aggressive. Remember to close the gates behind you.
