Flexible trip up to 50 km for 1-5 days

The Northern Canoe Trail stretches up to 50 kilometers and gives you full flexibility. You can choose to paddle the entire trail to maximize your wilderness adventure or customize the trip by paddling specific sections. The trail is ideal for anything from a day trip to a full 5-day paddle, depending on your preferred pace and how much of the wilderness you want to explore.

Facilities along the trail

Along the Northern Canoe Trail, you'll not only get a great paddle but also access to amenities that enhance your experience:

• Many shelters: Enjoy safe and prepared shelters that offer perfect places for an overnight stay or a sheltered rest. All are equipped with fire pits, ready for a cozy evening under the stars.
• Natural resting places:** The trail is lined with several natural resting places where you can stretch your legs, have a coffee, enjoy the silence and maybe light a fire.
• Beautiful cliffs:** Along the way you pass a place with cliffs that rise 20 meters out of the water, a nice and photo-friendly sight.
• Three easy lifts:** If you choose to paddle the entire trail, you'll encounter only three easy lifts, each about 100 meters long. These are easy to manage and add to the character of the adventure without being too demanding.

Flexible start and end points

Your paddling trip can start and end at several convenient locations:

• Kloten - Nordic Discovery's Adventure Center: The trail starts in Kloten, where you'll find the Adventure Center. There you can rent canoes, bikes and get information about hiking trails, as well as book accommodation and guided tours.
• Nyfors - River Lodge:** At the northern end of the trail, in Nyfors, is the River Lodge. It offers comfortable accommodation and camping, sauna and also canoe rental.

You have full freedom to start your canoeing in both Kloten and Nyfors and also drop off the canoe at either end, giving you maximum flexibility to plan your route.
