Lerbäck

In the charming village of Lerbäck, you will find scenic accommodation and enjoy good food combined with captivating theater performances at Lerbäcks Teater or a walk in the labyrinth at Hotell Perolofsgården. In the old Gästgivaregården, next to the church and the homestead, you will find Lerbäcks Teater. High-level theater is performed here all year round. Every summer, the theater puts on a wonderful family show on the outdoor stage that includes a lot of singing and music. Many characters from Astrid Lindgren's stories have taken the stage, but the audience is also captivated by wonderful self-written stories with imaginative stage designs. On the stage in the warehouse, light-hearted farces are given in the spring, which usually contain fantastic intricacies and senseless twists. In the darkness of fall, this is replaced by horrific murder mysteries with clever solutions where the excitement is at its peak. For this, a good three-course dinner is enjoyed and it is possible to book accommodation packages in Lerbäcks Theater's characterfully decorated rooms.

Next door to Lerbäcks Teater you will find Hotel Perolofsgården, beautifully located next to Kyrksjön. Here you can stay in nice rooms and eat good food in the restaurant. The hotel also offers the opportunity for conferences and larger gatherings - or you can sit down over a cup of coffee in the café. In summer, you can enjoy the tranquility of a walk in the hotel's labyrinth. Lerbäck's labyrinth is inspired by English gardens and consists of beech hedges in winding paths. There is also a lovely amphitheater here, where concerts and festivals are organized in a pleasant environment during the summer.

Around Lerbäck there are very good opportunities to make day trips with lovely walks. To the east of Lerbäck, Skåle Nature Reserve attracts visitors with fine views from the fault slopes on the shores of Lake Tisaren, where the bedrock is exposed and forms a mighty area with deep and damp rift valleys. Along the Snårsjörundan hiking trail north of Lerbäck, you follow stories about people's lives in old crofts and cottages in the area, and on a hike through Dovrasjödalen you experience a wilderness feeling as you make your way around three long narrow lakes in a rift valley in the bedrock. At Perolofsgården you can also rent a bike and go on shorter or longer tours in the immediate area, on both quiet country roads or demanding mountain bike trails.

In Lerbäck you can also visit Lerbäck's homestead next to the church, where many activities are organized all year round such as National Day celebrations, lectures, exhibitions, etc. There are traditional Midsummer celebrations and a nice Christmas market in the warehouse. On the first Saturday in July, thousands of people flock to Lerbäcksmarken, a very popular craft market with high quality. The market also attracts entertainment and a children's market, and starts the day before with a wonderful auction where our talented local auctioneer has movable property from the area under the gavel.
