Facts

Stenskär is part of the Bondöfjärden nature reserve. With its long sandy beach, the sun-glistening, calm lagoon on Stenskär attracts many visitors. The island is also home to a rich bird life, remains of old labyrinths and, at the far end of the bay, there is a picturesque fishing village with red-painted fishing huts. Those interested in fishing can head to the strait between Lill- and Stor-Leskär for excellent grayling fishing. Stenskär has a labyrinth - the significance of labyrinths is unknown, but they are common in the coastal areas of Norrland. Perhaps they were built to bring good fishing luck.

At the guest harbor there is an abundance of zoned vegetation with rows of saltwort, beach vetch, groundsel and beach rye.
