Kengis fors

The mighty Kengisforsen flows right next to the Kengis mill, which was once Sweden's northernmost ironworks. Today, salmon fishermen from all over the world come here to catch the first and largest salmon when they rise in the Torne River in June, see link.

The rapids are the largest along the Torne River, with a drop of 18 meters and a length of 600 meters. The mill environment on the south side offers history and interesting architecture.
