Stora Lindö

Stora Lindö is clearly visible from Kassaviken and is located within the Natura 2000 area in the Bokhultet nature reserve. The island is accessible by boat and canoe in summer, and by skis and ice skates when the sea ice is safe in winter.

You are welcome to visit Stora Lindö in the nature reserve, but please note that it is not allowed to:

1. damage natural objects or surface formations, for example by digging, drilling, hacking or painting
2. fell, cut, pull up, pick or otherwise damage living or dead trees, shrubs, plants, fungi, mosses or lichens (berries, herbs and terrestrial edible fungi may be picked for domestic use)
3. collect insects, shells, worms or other animals without the approval of the Reserve Manager
4. drive or park a motorized vehicle or trailer other than on the designated road and parking area
5. stay overnight without the approval of the Reserve Manager
6. make a fire other than in a designated, prepared fireplace
7. disturbing wildlife by, for example, approaching a nesting site
8. operate jet skis, hovercrafts, water skis, paragliders or drones
9. staying in the areas marked on the map as bird protection areas from April 1 to July 31
10. fishing with nets or fixed gear
11. bring an unleashed dog with the exception of the training area of the working dog club or an area designated by the manager through signage
12. anchor, moor or moor boats (or other vessels) for more than one day in a place other than at piers designated by Växjö municipality (4)
13. after 2020, drive a boat with a two-stroke engine.

Other legislation for what you are allowed to do in the forest and land also applies in the nature reserve.
