Hälsans stig

With glistening water, the river Lagan makes its way through Ljungby.
Along the river, you can stroll along the trails Årundan and Hälsans stig, and
enjoy beautiful nature and artwork. You can also make several stops along the
way and gaze upon the views of the city and the water.

Did you know that the old steamboat dock used to be one of the liveliest
places in Ljungby?

The bridge called Ljungsätrabron was so wide that it could easily fit
four platoon lines.
What really happened that night when the cable ferry capsized? Why was the bridge Elverksbron
nicknamed “the conceit of Ljungby”? Organ factory, open-air swimming baths, log
driving and a flour grinder? During a stroll along Årundan you can stop
by the storytelling tables and learn more about the river’s history.

Along the trail, you will pass several pieces of artwork, such as
Ågubben, Våg och Betongand. Why not take a break on one of the park benches,
decorated by local artists, and enjoy the view of the river.
