Bielkeleden

Bielkeleden is a hiking trail that follows the shore around Grimmansmålasjön and is about 6 kilometers long. With the help of footbridges and bridges, you can reach the legendary Rostockaholme.

Nils Turesson (Bielke) lived here in the early 14th century. Nils was a knight and one of the most powerful men in the kingdom. Today, not much remains of his farm, but the new information boards still give a picture of what it might have looked like.

After an easy 600-meter walk, you'll arrive at the farm remains. The trail continues north and around Grimmansmålasjön. This stretch requires some hiking experience. In the fall and spring, it is good to wear boots on the north and northwest of the trail.

The trail is a result of cooperation between Emmaboda municipality, Algutsboda Hembygdsförening, Emmabodabygdens Historiska Förening and the County Administrative Board of Kalmar County.
