Description

The High Point Loop is the longest and most challenging gravel route in the area – a true full-day loop for riders who want to collect elevation and experience Småland at its very best. The route follows a great mix of narrow gravel roads and quiet paved sections, almost entirely free from traffic, and offers beautiful scenery with forests, lakes, and open countryside.

Along the way, you’ll pass several notable stops, including Örerydslägret, with its unique history from World War II. You also have the option to make a short detour to Lidernas Mill on the climb toward Valdshult, and continue to Åsenhöga Old Churchyard, a peaceful historical site with a special atmosphere.

For those who want to push the ride even further, there’s the opportunity to detour to Karlbergsåsen, the highest point in the municipality. It offers a true summit feeling – actually higher than the top of Isaberg.

This loop is made for riders who love long days in the saddle, hilly gravel, and memorable experiences along the way.

Elevation gain: 970 m

The route is not physically signposted.
