Nissan Trail

Nissan is one of Halland's four rivers and flows through a stunning, scenic landscape rich in plant and animal life. You can canoe and enjoy a wonderful outdoor experience on and along the Nissan River, supported by Sweden's "right of public access" (allemansrätten). You can start your adventure at a chosen launch point and finish at a suitable take-out spot.

The canoe trail begins just south of Skeppshult, allowing you to paddle through the Färgen Lakes all the way to Femsjö. Be mindful of nature and show respect to both animals and people. Relax and enjoy your adventure, but remember not to disturb nesting birds.

The right of public access grants you freedoms, but also responsibilities. A fishing permit is required to fish in Nissan, and different rules apply to the river's various fishing zones.
