Illern runt

Walk the beautiful trail around Lake Illern, which is located within the Illern Nature Reserve. A good trail for those who want to hike, jog, pick berries or just experience scenic forest and lake. The forest is mostly mature pine forest with some areas of younger plantations. The ground is partly covered with blueberries and lingonberries. You mostly move near the lake, which is often mirror-shiny, especially in the early summer hours. There is also a bathing area with a jetty where you can take a cooling dip. Combine this with a walk up to Rås gård, a listed farm run by Tranås municipality, which can also be rented for overnight stays or events.
