Hjälmsryd linden tree

"Play, my linden tree, sing, my nightingale", wrote Astrid Lindgren. Here in Hjälmseryd you’ll find Sweden’s largest linden tree, with a circumference of an impressive nine metres. The tree is 500 years old, and despite being struck by lightning a few years ago, it still stands proud. Lean back against the trunk and feel the wings of history.
