Habo Hembygdsgård

Hembygdsgården is located in the center of Habo and there are several interesting buildings.

It also runs an active business with tours, parties, singing and music. The association also rents out the main building for parties and other gatherings.

**The buildings

The homestead is from the farm Lilla Flittered in Gustav Adolf parish. From 1680 to 1890 the farm was a Profoss residence. Profoss was the military judge, prosecutor and executor of military punishments. He was imprisoned in his official residence and today you can see these two chambers with bars on the windows. The mansion was donated to the association by the owners of Skämningsfors. A number of wooden household utensils are stored here. The smithy was originally located at Mölekullen's farm and is sometimes shown in operation at summer festivals. Ekeredsstugan is an early 18th century house from N. Ekered. Here you can see living quarters with a brick oven and a small school museum. Stena Gustav's Cottage is an old baker's cottage from around 1830, originally located at Fiskebäck Chapel. There is a small baking oven in the masonry. The loft was moved from Flatered in Habo. Among other things, there is a shoemaker's workshop and a mangle equipment as well as linen preparation and weaving tools.Visthusboden "Pukes Lagård" comes from Nolgården in Gustav Adolf.
