Description

Öreryd Gravel Loop is a scenic and immersive gravel route through deep Småland forests and tranquil countryside, far from traffic and everyday noise. The loop starts and finishes at Isaberg and follows a varied mix of quiet gravel roads, peaceful paved sections, and short stretches of trail – ideal for gravel bikes.

Leaving Isaberg, the route rolls toward Bjärsved, where the landscape opens up with grazing livestock, wide views, and classic rural scenery. In the charming village of Öreryd, with its red wooden houses and white church, the route passes the historic Skyttevärnsleden. This area tells the story of the Norwegian refugee camp during World War II and the secret training of Norwegian soldiers.

The ride continues through calm forest riding and beautiful lakeside sections along Kroksjön and Agnsjön, offering several great spots for rest stops or a refreshing swim. The route is partly hilly, but the final climb back up to Isaberg can easily be bypassed if preferred.

Elevation gain: 340 m

The route is not physically signposted.
