Rules in the trail

Direction of travel: Counterclockwise direction of travel.

Snowshoes: If you use snowshoes for children or packs, you ski on the side of the trails that are prepared for skating. Chariot packs with skis can be used both on the classic track and on the skate section.

Dogs: During the opening season, dogs are not allowed on the trails. From December 15 to the end of the winter season, leashed dogs are welcome in the skate section.

From the trailhead, the trail starts with a few downhills, all of which end up in long lines or uphills. After that, the trail starts to climb up and soon turns right. All lighted trails can be varied with each other so there are opportunities to shorten or lengthen them as desired.

All the trails have gentle hills and run in sheltered terrain.

The easiest way to park is in the large parking lot adjacent to the Vålådalen mountain station.

Travel by public transport to Vålådalen

The Mountain Experience bus takes you every weekday from Undersåker to your destination in Södra Årefjällen.

The bus is adjusted to the arrival of the night train. The tours are adapted to the train timetable. On Saturdays and Sundays, Länstrafiken has the corresponding service.

The bus is call-controlled - it only stops at stops where there are passengers who have pre-booked a journey.

Please note that all journeys must be booked and paid for by the day before!

From the E14, take the exit towards Undersåker and continue over the railroad crossing by following the signs towards Vålådalen. You will find the parking lot adjacent to Vålådalen Mountain Station.

The easiest way is to go up to the mountain station and put on your skis here to take the shorter transport distance to the track start portal.
