Recommended period

This trail goes partly in areas that are sensitive when it is wet in the fields. Avoid the trail during snowmelt and also when it has rained a lot.

Things to consider after the trail

In dry weather, normal off-road shoes work, in wet weather boots/waterproof shoes are recommended

Safety

The falls are steep in some places, so keep an eye on the children.

To look after the trail

After the trail you can periodically find mushrooms and berries.

On your feet

Depending on the season and weather, this trail is sometimes more or less wet/muddy. A pair of shoes with a proper sole or hiking boots is recommended.

Garbage

After the trail there are no garbage cans so don't forget to bring an extra bag in your pack to carry the garbage back home.

Dog

Dogs are welcome on a leash. Please pick up after your dog as many guests, both two and four-legged, hike this trail daily.

The trail starts on leafy paths winding over small ridges and valleys, light climbs regularly and the first half of the trail goes through forest.

Steady and stable bridges over all the major waterfalls and some bridges over smaller streams. The surface is trampled path with few roots and stones.

About halfway to Silverfallet, the terrain opens up and large marshes spread out. Now the surface changes to a lot of footpaths alternated with passages through groves of trees. Here it can also be wet at times

When the third bridge is passed, the climb increases the last bit towards the fall and the path narrows. Here there is also more loose gravel and stones on the path.

When you have enjoyed the view and the fall, finished your coffee and maybe taken a dip, you turn down and take the same way back.

Silverfallet can also be a partial stop if you choose to continue up towards Storsnasen and Blåhammaren.

The easiest way to park is at the Enan parking lot.

If you drive west towards Trondheim, you will first pass Enafors and then you will find the parking lot directly to the left after you have passed the Enan watercourse.

If you come on the E14 from the west and go towards Duved / Åre, you will find the parking lot on the right just before the watercourse Enan and Enaforsholm.

Bus

Länstrafiken bus 571 passes the station in Enafors and from here it is about 700 meters to the trailhead.

Car

The nearest parking lot to the trailhead is the "Enan" parking lot. This is located after road E14. If you go west towards Trondheim, you first pass Enafors and then you will find the parking lot directly to the left after you have passed the watercourse Enan.

If you come on the E14 from the west and go towards Duved / Åre, you will find the parking lot on the right just before the watercourse Enan and Enaforsholm.

Train

The nearest train station is Enafors station and the route is served by Vy tåg and Snälltåget.
