Description

Tre rikkärr med höga naturvärden flankeras av två skogsområden i sydväst och nordöst. De kalkhaltiga partierna av skogen gör att guckusko, kransrams och trolldruva trivs. Skogen är annars cirka 150 år gammal med ett mindre område med 220-åriga granar. Vissa grova exemplar mäter 70 centimeter i diameter.
I rikkärren dominerar skorpionmossa och guldspärrmossa. Kärlväxter som indikerar kalk är blodnycklar, tvåblad, jämtstarr och sumpnycklar.
Det finns spår efter mänskliga ingrepp i form av rester av flottningsränna, olikåldriga stubbar efter plockhuggning samt fångstgropar.

In Lorås, turn off the E45 and drive along the road towards Trekilen. After 3.4 kilometers, on the left side of the road, there is space to park a car and a path leading into the nature reserve.
