Description
Here in Kläppe Nature Reserve you can experience a mature spruce forest that has only been affected by humans to a small extent, a so-called natural forest. The spruce forest has grown up since the last forest fire, about 160-170 years ago. Pine trees that survived the last forest fire are still standing and are perhaps 200 years old. The nutrient-rich soil creates conditions for tall plants such as turtlehead, wolfsbane and some broad-leaved grasses. In addition, the nutrients make the forest grow fast and you can see unusually tall spruces. After a fire, the light favors the deciduous trees and therefore you can find areas with coarse aspens and willows

Väl värt att ströva i. De mäktiga asparna finner man främst längst in i reservatet från grusvägen sett. Spår av gammal plockhuggning med grova mossbevuxna stubbar.
