Description
Kärleksstigen was once an old rafting trail. Today it is instead a very beautiful and popular hiking & biking trail with great opportunities for fishing and picnicking. Newly restored, easy-to-walk path that beautifully winds along the river Ljungan. In some places there are large stone plateaus out in Ljungan, perfect for picnics or fishing!
At one end of the path is Åsarna's beautiful stone arch bridge, which was inaugurated on May 11, 1852 and is one of Scandinavia's largest stone arch bridges.
Back and forth, the trail is about 2.5 kilometers. It is also possible to cross the stone arch bridge and take the gravel road to the left along the other side of Ljungan if you do not want to go back the same way.
Large parts of Berg municipality are reindeer herding areas. Most reindeer are in the mountains during the summer, but you may encounter them in the forest or along the roads all year round. It is important that you as a visitor show consideration for the reindeer. You do this by not stressing them. When you encounter reindeer, slow down, sit down and wait for them to pass or take a long detour past them. Always keep dogs on a leash where there are reindeer.
