The nature reserve is located less than a mile north of Svenstavik. In the village of Hoverberg, take the road towards the church and Hoverberget. The road up to the top is on the east side of the mountain.

In addition to the rules of the Right of Public Access, you may not do any of the following in the Hoverberget nature reserve:

• capture, disturb or harm mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, as well as damage their nests and spawning grounds or collect eggs
• picking and collecting species of any kind, except berries and edible mushrooms
• climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, roost or burrow
• damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
• light a fire
• drive a motorized vehicle off-road.
