Description
Meåfallet
Meåfallet is a popular destination that is easy to get to. In the nutrient-rich spruce and deciduous forests, you can see a variety of exciting plants, insects and fungi. These include the grass forest cane.
Meåfallet is located in the Revaberget nature reserve. The reserve slopes steeply towards the Indalsälven river in the east, and is very steep in places. Streams have carved deep ravines into the slope on their way to the river. At the southern end, the Meån river has created a waterfall that is a popular destination for day trips. Follow the path south of the river. There are steps and a few footbridges that make it easier to visit the waterfall. At present, there are only old wooden signs, but clearer signage is planned.
