Hills
If you choose to start at the start of the long track, you start by riding the connecting trail to the start of the long track, this route is the same as if you chose trail 143.
Once out at the start of the cross-country trail, take a direct left down the lift street and connect here to trail 140, which comes from the left from Högfjällshotellet's trail start. You now follow the signs with a nice slope past Bergstedt's cottages and further down over marshes and through the forest towards Nyvallen. Here the trail is largely in sheltered terrain in the forest, which makes it a good trail if it is windy. All the way down to Nyvallen, the trail slopes downhill with some slightly steeper parts. On days with hard and icy tracks, it can be challenging to keep the speed down on this part of the trail, it can then be nice with skis with steel edges on.
From Nyvallen, the trail goes in hilly terrain, without major surprises, through the forest further towards Ytterstvallen. Here you also pass the exit from trail 143, which means that you can also meet skiers from the other direction during this part. Once you reach Ytterstvallen, the forest opens up and you come out on the crossing snowmobile trail. Here you turn right if you want to take the steep road up to the rest cabins or you continue a bit further out into the meadow before crossing upwards to get a gentler climb.
When you have finished your coffee and finished enjoying the view from the old ancient fäbodvallen, continue across the plateau and climb the first steep hill up through the forest. Here the trail splits and you can choose to take the detour around Ripkallhöjden or turn directly right and continue in less hilly terrain back towards Ludumyren's wind shelter and the marshes that lead you back towards "Torget".
At the square, several trails pass. If you want to continue on trail 140 all the way back, turn right again through the forest towards Bergstedt's cottages via the marsh and the trail that now winds upwards back towards the parking lot.
Parking
The nearest parking lots to the start of the trail can be found at Trillevallens Högfjällshotell if you choose to start from there. Alternatively, you can choose the cross-country parking lot that you will find on the left after the road.
