Description
Musikedalen is a 110-hectare area on the Hallandsåsen plateau on the border with Skåne. The landscape in the reserve is exciting with plunging precipices, swamp forests and beech forest slopes. Forestry roads lead into the area, but there are no landscaped paths. A good road map is recommended if you want to visit Musikedalen.
The rushing stream and the undiked wetland area are called Oxakärret. About a third of the reserve is made up of areas of particularly high natural value, mainly in the south and north where the former Vallåsen and Klinta halls reserves were located. In 2010, they were merged and expanded with intermediate forest and wetlands to form Musikedalen.

Regulations
To protect the nature reserve, the County Administrative Board has decided on special regulations, including those that you as a visitor to the area must follow and respect.
In addition to what applies under other legislation, it is forbidden to:
- damage living or dead standing or lying trees and bushes,
- damage, pick or collect grasses, herbs, mosses or lichens. However, picking berries or edible mushrooms is permitted,
- planting plant or animal species alien to the area
- put up a picture, poster, sign or make an inscription, bring an unleashed dog
- drive a motorized vehicle other than on a road or park other than in a designated place,
- make a fire other than in the designated place, however, the use of a camping kitchen is permitted,
- ride a bicycle other than on an existing or designated road,
- collect insects, spiders, shells and other invertebrates without the permission of the County Administrative Board. However, individual specimens may be collected provided that it does not violate the conservation regulations and that traps are not used.
