Description

The unique railway viaduct, similar to a reclining Eiffel Tower, is a stately iron structure built in 1886, 1915 and 1927, when the railroad was extended here. The railroad has been rerouted outside the city, but the viaduct remains and is today a pedestrian walkway. Under the viaduct on Trädgårdsgatan you can see the old well Uhrs källa from 1759. The well was a water collection point for South Hammin residents until the early 1900s and the place also became a boarding and alighting point for train travelers.
