"Erik Jansson traveled from Biskopskulla to Alfta in Hälsingland to preach at revival meetings. He was hunted by the sheriff and it all culminated when they organized public bonfires where they burned religious books and other writings. Park at the turnaround where the hiking trail goes up. The road is a private forest road, so take care, especially in spring when there is a spring thaw.

Just south of the village of Älvkarhed, head east. There is a large wooden sign by road 50 showing the way. Follow the road "straight ahead" until you reach a turning point, where the hiking trail to the Ersk-jansa dune begins.
