Stadsslingan

This walking trail of about 7 km goes around central Söderhamn and shows the town from several perspectives. It passes through leafy areas, residential areas, past the heating plant and the water treatment plant. You also walk a bit along Söderhamsfjärden. If there is time, you can sit down on one of the benches along the bay and listen to the sound of the water.

Walkways are combined with sidewalks. There are a few small hills but the surface is flat so walking with poles is fine. There are many resting benches in several places along the whole loop, the densest with benches is on the footpath north of the city center.

There are several good opportunities to find your own walking routes if you want to extend or shorten the walk. One tip is to take the same walk in the opposite direction to see the surroundings from a different perspective.

Bus stops are nearby, for example Faxepark or Källparken. Free parking is available along streets and at CFL - Center for Flexible Learning.
