Description

Öjaren is one of Gästrikland's most peaceful lakes, surrounded by forest and small swimming spots. Here you can sit down on a rock, dip your toes in the water and enjoy the tranquillity. With its clear water, the lake is also perfect for canoeing or a relaxing day at the beach with a picnic and company.

For those who want to paddle or go boating, the southern part of Öjaren offers a beautiful trip among Öjaren's islands and the opportunity to beachcomb on nice beaches. Another option is Trollrikskanalen, which connects two of Gästrikland's most beautiful paddling lakes; Lundbosjön and Öjaren. The canal is about 800 m long and was originally dug for rafting timber between Testeboån and Öjaren. At Lundbosjön, a lift is required to get on.

Please note that Lundbosjön is a nature reserve with special regulations.
