Description

Nice hiking trail that takes you to Njupfatet with clear water and noble fish. Magical views on the way down. The trail is a circular walk of approx. 8 km. The most suitable starting point is to go up the first gravel road to the right, west of Ängebo. Keep it to the left until you reach the markings for the start. The trail follows an old base road and paths. Easy to walk even though it rises all the way up to Njupfatet.

You walk on a gravel road below Sörnjup which is 426 m above sea level. Here are some magical lakes. Njupfatet is a very beautiful and clear lake that is part of the Delångersån main drainage area.

It is located at an altitude of 367 m. The area is 0.104 km². The lake is drained by the Njupfatsbäcken stream. The lake contains noble fish. A fishing license is required. There are two shelters, one of which the trail passes on the south side.

The trail then continues out on the west side of the lake and goes back down following another path that was used by people from Långmor, Björsarv. Now it has been felled and become some gravel roads that have been broken after the trail, so there will be some gravel road to walk after, a total of about 2 km.

You walk past a small cottage on the large clearing, where there is also a nice view. There used to be a fantastic pine forest with long straight trunks that were a delight for the soul to walk in.

The trail is still there and the small cabin was once used when tests were done in this forest, but that was a long, long time ago. It is possible to extend this trail if you want to be out for a full day. Then you can start in Ängebo the same trail as Gravmyrberget but take the old trail west. See svågadalen's outdoor map. It is not yet restored with markings.

When you get back down on the gravel road again, you can go down Långmor and hike Flottarleden or Svågaleden back to Ängebo.

The length of the trail is about 8 km

Helt underbart vackert både vid Njupfatet och på vägen ner!

Vacker miljö men ha ordentliga skor. Både blött och snårigt på sina ställen. Finns ingen parkeringsplats men det finns två vändplaner alt kan en ställa längst vägen.
