Description
Kläppaängarna is one of the county's large contiguous deciduous forest areas, where 65-year-old birch dominates. There are elements of old coniferous forest at Tingvallen. The reserve is located 3 kilometers south of Ljusdal and covers 181 hectares. The Kläppa meadows have long been affected by drainage, mowing, grazing and forestry.
The area still gives a feeling of untouchedness, as the area has only been marginally affected by humans for 50-60 years.
The Kläppaängarna nature reserve is managed by Ljusdal municipality.
