Hässjaåpaviljongen, Långhed

Cultural heritage along the Hässjaån river is a project that ran between 2021 and 2024. The aim was to bring Långhed's rich history to life and create meeting places that unite past and present. Through the project, several educational outdoor classrooms / meeting places were built to give visitors the opportunity for knowledge and education about the development of society from the agrarian to the digital service society as well as understanding and knowledge of our common cultural heritage.

An extra wonderful meeting place has been built within the project, which is now called Hässjaåpaviljongen. The pavilion is located along the Hässjaån river and has views of the river and Långheds village in several directions. Långheds village association wants both residents of Långhed and visitors to use the pavilion to meet and enjoy themselves and at the same time we want to encourage reflection on our history. The artwork Vandringssjön, from 2017 by the artist Erik O. Wiklund, Alfta, covers one of the walls in the pavilion. It is a beautiful and thought-provoking work of art that evokes thoughts about us humans living on earth and how we use water. The Hässjaåpaviljon was inaugurated on December 5, 2024. The ribbon was cut by tour operator and influencer Lottie Knutsson, who clearly expresses her love for Hälsingland and promotes the landscape in the media. Jennie Eriksson from Alfta participated and provided a nice setting with both singing and singing. The World Heritage farm owners Göran Toresson and Håkan Johansson took part and special thanks were given to Göran, given that the owners of the Pallars farm have expressed their support for the construction of the pavilion. An opening speech was given by the project manager Frida Cronsioe and the chairman of Långheds bygdeförening Margareta Englund participated.
