Description
The mining trail starts at Masugnen in Voxnabruk and follows old paths and trackways between the ruins of the blast furnace to the mining area on Gymås-berget. Then the trail goes down towards Gymåsbo and further towards Rosendal before you come back to the bath at Övre Hammaren in Voxnabruk. The trail goes through an old forest with rare orchids. The trail is about 9 km and the area it goes through is classified by the county administrative board as a nationally interesting cultural environment.
Along the trail there are signs with brief information. The trail is marked with orange markings. Attractions such as springs, mine holes, the location of the art wheel (Konsta) and Gymåsbo, which is located next to the trail, are marked with blue tracks.

According to legend, the two foresters Sjuls Ersson and Erik Andersson met the forest woman on Gymåsberget in 1724. She told them that there was a treasure in the ground.
In the same year, the iron ore deposits in Gymåsberget were claimed and bought by Anders Swab and two of his friends. Mining took place for about 150 years and in the mid-19th century it was the largest in the Nordic region. 1000 people worked in the mining industry.
