Gamla Herrgården

In 1739, Gamla Herrgården was completed. At once, the growing ironworks in Högbo was transformed into a rich manor house. This was the start of a great period in the history of Högbo Bruk. It was a time of power struggles, love, wealth, technological advances and far too many family worries. At the center of it all was the Old Manor House with its magnificent ceiling paintings and views of the hammer forges.

Take a guided tour

Nowadays, parties are organized here for smaller weddings and other celebrations, and the feeling of the house is still there. Ceiling paintings, crystal chandeliers and of course, the creaking of the fantastic floorboards. Gamla Herrgården and Nya Herrgården are the perfect places for weddings, parties and conferences. Magnificent meals are served here under the auspices of Högbo Brukshotell, with a focus on locally and locally produced good food in fantastic surroundings - always with a happy smile.
