Brattfors

A small nature area just outside Ockelbo in Gästrikland.

The area is located in a softly hilly forest and agricultural area where remnants of older industrial history, such as a mumbling hammer, give the place character and local cultural-historical weight. It is a good hub for cycling activities as several trails pass through here and the area is close to both Ockelbo center and Medskogssjön.

Within Biking Gästrikland, Brattfors is linked to several MTB trails of varying character. Overall, Brattfors' location makes it an excellent hub for MTB loops where you can cycle longer tours (e.g. Three ironworks: Högbo-Brattfors-Jädraås), combine different trails, or do day trips with varied character in the terrain.
