Stabergs Bergmansgård

Welcome to visit Stabergs Bergsmansgård, a cultural reserve in World Heritage Falun. Here, as a visitor, you can experience one of the most well-preserved mountain manors in the Kopparbergslagen, as the area around the Falu mine is called.
 
All the different parts of a larger Bergmansgård house are preserved here. Namely, buildings, garden, cabin area, farmland and forest. At Staberg you can both walk in a sprawling baroque garden and be fascinated by the almost desert-like slag heaps in the old cab area. Or follow the hiking path up on Staberg's heel and get a nice view of the farm and landscape with fields and forest. The faluröda timber houses on Gamla Staberg give a good picture of how the mountainmen lived in the 17th and 18th centuries. The white manor house from 1840, Staberg's manor or New Staberg, south of the garden reflects how the building culture changed with new ideals.

In order to ensure that this mountain manor is preserved for the future and is accessible to visitors, the County Administrative Board decided in 2013 to form the cultural reserve Stabergs bergsmansgård. As a visitor to Staberg, you have good opportunities to enjoy a living historical environment.
