Description

Garpenberg's mining chapel is Sweden's only preserved mining chapel from older times. The unique wooden building dates back to at least the early 1600s, probably even older. Miners used to gather here for morning prayer before work. The upper floor now houses a mining museum. Visits to the chapel are booked via the Garpenberg Local History Association.
