Flobergets fäbod

Fäbodledsområde 12 passes Flobergets fäbod. In the 1664 fäbod list, nine co-owners are named, all from Kyrkbyn.

In the 1806-1812 land consolidation, Floberget had 27 co-owners, eleven of whom were from Syrholn, seven from Holsåker, six from Kyrkbyn, and three from Sälje.

The upper part of the farmstead is called Rundberget, the lower Digerberget.

Many legends are linked to these mountain farms. Some of the parish's most famous springs are found here, including "Heingkälla" and Heliga Trefaldighetskällan. On Trinity night, people would 'drink health' here and offer a coin.

A third spring is called Brännvinshåla. According to legend, this spring is filled with brandy on Christmas Eve. Another legend tells of a silver mine near Kringelholstallen, which is one of the most powerful in the parish.

The sheep farm in Floberget was closed between 1967 and 1979. It was resumed by Christina Strand, who is now a herdsman at Strand's farm. In the summer of 1993, she had eight cows, six young bulls and some sheep grazing at Floberget's pastures.

According to folklorist and author Karl-Erik Forsslund, Floberget was once considered a popular home for Rånda, also known as Skogsfrun. In his book about Floda, Forsslund says that the people of Floda were convinced that Rånda used the sheepfolds in Floberget when the owners and their animals were down in the village.

Floberget is considered valuable from a cultural, historical and environmental point of view.
