Description

Drottning Kristinas väg is an old hiking trail marked on old maps in the forests between Kloster and Stjärnsund (about 10 km). According to tradition, Queen Kristina traveled on the road during her travels in these areas. The trail is marked with an orange painted ring around trees or poles, and there are paths laid out over particularly wet areas. There are information boards along the trail, as well as a selection of Queen Kristina's aphorisms that reflect some of the spirit of the times and her thoughts on power, life and love.

Open-toed shoes or boots may be appropriate.

During the walk you will encounter old coal mines, magical lakes, babbling brooks and beautiful viewpoints.

Suitable starting points are: the Polhem Museum in Stjärnsund, the ruins of Kloster in Kloster or at Odlet 1 km north of Kloster following the road towards Stjärnsund.
