The Dammsjö Trail has been re-routed during winter 2024/2025 and is now closer to the water. Signage is planned.

Description

The Dammsjöleden trail is just under 5 km long around Finnhytte Dammsjön, passing both disused mines such as the limestone quarry and Garpenberg's modern mining area. Along the way there are several rest areas with shelters and barbecue areas. The surface is gravel and asphalt, which makes the trail easy to walk and cycle. It is also often plowed in winter. The trail is not signposted, but follows the shoreline and is easy to follow.

Anyone who wants to can take the opportunity to visit Brännvinsmuren, which is about 300 m from the trail. More info under Brännvinsmuren on the Nature Map.

synnerligen fin och intressant upplevelse. Naturintressen samsas med framgång med gruva och vindkraft. underbar äng vid Brännvinsmuren.
