Bjursås Berg & Sjö

Bjursås, with its 40 years, is a classic in skiing Sweden. Although it is only a couple of hours from Mälardalen, it is really snow-sure and there is a plethora of winter activities for the whole family. The cabins and campsite are open for booking all year round and in the summer there are fun outdoor experiences for the whole family.

Most people know Bjursås for the fine downhill skiing. 21 downhill slopes while the two chairlifts and five drag lifts take you comfortably back up. But still, it is perhaps the range of activities that surprises most. Cross-country skiing for both elite athletes and touring skiers, but there is also an ice rink for ice skating, ice fishing, snowmobiling or just being out in the beautiful surroundings on a kick (which is available to borrow) or on foot. After the activities, family relaxation awaits with a pool and hot tubs where you relax together. Then it's nice to be close to home.

Both cottages and camping in Bjursås are close to the slopes and activities. Food and after-ski are available in the two restaurants and you can get help with equipment in the shop. Bjursås is often told that it is the coziest ski resort, and already Carl Linnaeus' company seems to have thought the resort had something special when they coined the nickname "Dalarna's Switzerland"!

Bjursås Berg & Sjö is a certified Outdoor Qualified facility, which means that there are adapted facilities for those who love to cycle, hike and experience nature.
Of course, safe storage of your bike, knowledge of good trails, the opportunity to wash the bike and tools for easier repairs etc.

INFO 2025/2026: During the winter season, Bjursås Berg & Sjö will develop the area outside Bäverhyddan, down towards Björsbergsvägen, by starting the construction of a new hotel. The work is a step in the long-term effort to create an even better experience for you who visit the facility. During the period, some construction traffic and slight construction noise may occur, but the work is planned with great consideration to minimize the impact.
