The municipality is responsible for these bathing areas:
Ticknäset- Äppelbo, Närsjö- Nås, Gensen- Dala-Järna, Glatjärn- Uppsälje (in cooperation with Uppsälje Framtid).
The municipality is not responsible for other bathing areas at lakes and ponds. They are often managed and maintained by a non-profit organization. None of the bathing areas in our municipality is large enough to require sampling of the bathing water. However, the municipality usually takes bathing water samples at some of the outdoor bathing areas before each bathing season.
During the season, each municipal bathing area is then visited twice a week to check that everything looks okay. This includes emptying bins and outhouses.
