Isala-Åg-leden

The Isala-Åg trail goes on ancient pastures and roads for the transport of charcoal to the cabin in Åg. The trail goes from Isala to Åg's mill on mostly easy-going trails. Up at Ågsberget it can be experienced a bit steeper. The idyll of Ågs Bruk with Åg's cabin is one of the technically best preserved cabins in Sweden and is part of the Iron Road, an old transport route for iron ore.

After the trail, you pass Mossgräsberget's nature reserve, which originated with its deciduous forest after a forest fire in 1888. You also pass a number of coal bottoms and kojruins, catch pit systems and tar cages. Take the opportunity to take a refreshing bath at the Nordanågstjärnen or Ågsjön. At Nordanågstjärnen there is a rest area with a bunk bed and a outhouse.
