Hörninge mosse - en restaurerad öländsk våtmark

Hörninge mosse is one of the island's largest wetlands. It is a popular place for many wetland birds such as lapwings, grebes and dunlins. The meadow hawk is also frequently seen flying here. For those interested in botany, most of Öland's different orchid species grow in the area, such as the meadow saxifrage, meadow buttercups and fly flowers.
