Illerns naturreservat

You are welcome to hike, jog or ski in the Illern nature reserve. There are several easily walked, marked routes with exciting remains from the Ice Age. You will experience beautiful pine forests, green pastures and lingonberry and blueberry bushes in abundance. Lake Illern is the gem of the reserve, perfect for swimming, fishing and ice skating. The Illern area has long been a valuable outdoor recreation area for the population of Tranås. In the varied and hilly forest area, trail and trail systems are based on three different associations' facilities. Rås Gård, which is run by Tranås municipality, is also located here and can be hired for parties, conferences or overnight stays. The Illern area consists of coniferous forest with some interspersed farmland.
