Alviken runt

A 7 km long scenic route with great variety, partly through nature reserves, around Alviken. The route leads through the natural and cultural landscape on Storön and along the beach in the villages of Alvik, Almo and Näsbyggebyn. You can row a short distance between the jetty at Näsbyggebyn boathouse and Storön. Rowing boats are available to borrow, but be sure to leave a boat on each side. When the tide is low, it can be difficult to get across with the boats.

Parts of Storön are a nature reserve and cattle graze on the northern part in summer. Part of the hiking trail goes through the pasture and the animals are not dangerous - however, they can be curious and come out. Remember not to have stray dogs in the meadow.

Along some stretches you walk on a footbridge and when it is rainy the footbridge is slippery.
